Can you show me what my smile can look like ahead of time?
Yes. Dr. Keider can create diagnostic wax-ups of your teeth to show you how a particular treatment or procedure would change and improve the appearance of your teeth.
Do you accept my insurance plan?
In this day and age, we know deciphering your insurance benefits can be confusing. We accept most insurance plans and as a service to you, we file all insurance claims for you. Most claims are filed electronically by the next working day following treatment. We are happy to help you with any of your insurance concerns. When you are considering extensive or complex treatments, we can also provide estimates. Dr. Keider will provide you with an extensive breakdown of your insurance coverage for your individual treatment plan.
We feel, however, that your insurance should never dictate the quality of your treatment. For extensive or long term dental care our office recommends in-office financing or Care Credit which offers monthly payments with competitive interest rates. If you have any questions, call us at 336-768-0480.
What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
If you have an emergency outside regular business hours, please call our office number at 336-768-0480 and follow the instructions to contact Dr. Keider.
What different payment options do you provide?
Our office accepts cash, checks and credit cards such as Master Card or Visa. Payment is due at the time of treatment and any amount not covered by your insurance is your responsibility. We also offer Care Credit where you have the option of doing interest-free financing. For extensive or long term dental care, they offer financing at a reasonable rate. Our office also has in-office financing available. If you have any questions, call us at 336-768-0480.
How can I safely whiten my teeth?
There are so many services that can whiten your teeth on the market these days that it can be hard to know which one will give you the best and longest results. We use the Zoom® whitening system in our office and can recommend DenTrek’s Bravo whitening system to use at home. If your teeth are cracked and chipped as well as deeply discolored, Dr. Keider may recommend Lumineers, an extremely thin porcelain veneer created by Cerinate. Since each mouth is unique, Dr. Keider needs to examine you to recommend the appropriate whitening method for you. No matter what process you choose, he will be there to guide you through the whitening process.
I really do not like visiting the dentist. Is there anything your team can do to help me relax?
Absolutely. We offer nitrous oxide to alleviate patients’ nervousness during treatment. Often referred to as laughing gas, nitrous can help anyone who is apprehensive about their visit, has a sensitive gag reflex, or requires surgery or other complex operations.
Before we can give you nitrous, however, we need to discuss your medical history with you. We will ask whether you or anyone in your family has had difficulty with anesthetics. We also want to know if you are pregnant, taking steroids or on medication for high blood pressure.
Crowns, veneers, onlays, inlays, and partials…where can I learn more about these procedures?
Dr. Keider usually recommends these procedures as part of a permanent restoration. They are more durable, easy on your mouth, and aesthetically pleasing. You can learn more about these procedures on our Patient Education page. There are also links to some of these products on our Favorite Links page.
We want you to have the information you need. So Dr. Keider invites you to ask questions before, during and after your appointment. He’s a friendly guy who always keeps up-to-date on the latest research.
I want my front teeth to look better, but I do not want to wear braces. What would you recommend?
We offer a variety of cosmetic services that can improve the appearance of your teeth without braces. Dr. Keider may recommend porcelain veneers or crowns to improve the appearance of your teeth.
If you would like to enhance the appearance of your smile, call us so we can schedule an appointment with Dr. Keider. After listening to your goals and concerns, he can suggest ways to help you straighten your smile. He can also help you visualize your new smile with wax-ups.
What is Smile Analysis?
In a smile analysis, we look at all the factors that compose a smile — the shape of a smile, the size, the smile line, and the position of your teeth, lips, and gums when you smile. We listen to what you want to accomplish and any concerns you may have. Once we have this information, we can provide a custom smile design.
What is Smile Design?
Dr. Keider will create a wax-up model of your new smile, review the results with you, and discuss the next steps to make it happen.
