Porcelain veneers are an excellent option for certain dental concerns, particularly when the goal is to improve the appearance of the front surfaces of the teeth. Veneers are designed to enhance the shape, size, and color of the teeth by covering only the front-facing portion, making them ideal for patients with cosmetic concerns such as discoloration, minor misalignment, or small chips.

However, veneers may not be the best option in cases where the back surfaces of the teeth are compromised. If you have enamel erosion on the back of your teeth due to acid reflux or wear, or if you have existing tooth-colored fillings between your front teeth, veneers alone may not provide a long-term solution. In such cases, full crowns, which cover the entire tooth—including the back surface—may be a more suitable option to ensure durability and comprehensive restoration.

The best treatment option depends on the condition of your teeth and your long-term goals. During a consultation, we can assess your teeth and determine whether veneers or another restorative approach would be the best choice for you.
