For patients who feel nervous or apprehensive, we offer nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, to help them relax during the procedure. Nitrous oxide is a good option because its effects wear off quickly, often before you leave the treatment room. This means that even if you choose to use nitrous oxide, you should still be able to drive yourself home afterward while remaining relaxed during the procedure.
